Parent Partnership
A fundamental part of our beliefs is communication, primarily strong links between home and preschool and the communication between staff and parents/carers. This relationship is facilitated through a steady stream of information from our management, staff and administrator to parents/carers via e-mail, daily/weekly journals, newsletters, Tapestry online learning journals, and an open-door policy for any and all questions and concerns.
Cygnets Preschool aims to work in partnership with parent/carers, practitioners from other settings and school staff to share information about the child and what support he or she may need.
Tapestry
Tapestry allows families to have up to two login’s with a secure username and password so you can view all your child’s observations, photographs and videos.
Families can ‘like and comment’ on observations that we add for children and it’s also possible to add your own personal observations! Families comments/observations will allow us to find out about what activities children enjoy and the learning they get up to at home.
On average we will post one-two observations per child, per week.
We use the ‘Documents’ feature on Tapestry to upload and share documents, such as newsletters/highlights of the week, events and top tips.
All data that is entered on Tapestry is stored securely on their servers.
